The odds of us being one of the only few civilizations in the universe are so astronomically low that youre point is rather irrelevant. Its basically like saying "well yeah but what if I win the lottery" despite you only ever buying 1 ticket in your entire lifetime

All we know is life is possible on planets with similar conditions as ours, that it begins pretty soon after the conditions become appropriate, and that there are billions of earth like planets in our galaxy alone, making the chance of life starting on other planets somewhere in the universe extremely high

Even if that is the case, corona is making the mortality rate of the other conditions higher so the virus is still causing deaths and has the chance of overwhelming the healthcare system
