A burger with lettuce in it provides significantly more nutrients than that same burger without lettuce yet they cost the same price and have equal (almost) calories

That has nothing to do with society, thats the rules of a private group. They can have whatever rules they want and why is it that this one rule is under any more scrutiny than any other rule in their religion. As he said they dont push their view onto other people but if you want to be in his religion follow the rules.

Difference is, drinking is legal, molly is a class a substance (or maybe b im not sure on americas scheduling). Even though being drunk around your kids is a bad example, at least its not the example of "break the law". I also doubt bert gets that drunk around his kids, hes probably tipsy at best around them and then gets drunker once theyre asleep
