its always been a thought of mine that its physically impossible to develop technology in this universe that allows intergalactic travel. So even if there are aliens in other galaxies we would never under the laws of this universe be able to reach them nor would they be able to reach us, at least not in person in any rational timeframe.

@CYMotorsport Thats a good point as well, we dont know that theyre anything at all like us in any way. And to further it: People always say "we havent found a trace of carbon based life anywhere in the known universe" but how do we know that life has to be carbon based. Obviously the only life weve found is carbon based but that doesnt mean there cant be forms of life that dont rely on carbon.
