I'd say theres actually a lot of people at the bottom because they didnt try to take risks/didnt make anything of opportunities presented to them. Tons of people spend their life going through the motions and thats how they end up working a barely above minimum wage job for the rest of their lives

@Hazegod Id say given that one of the side effects of a lack of love can be suicide and severe depression, humans are pretty addicted to it. Sure dont have kids young but dating only gets harder as you get older and there is definitely such a thing as having kids too late. Also the fact that having kids is very easily accidental

@Hazegod you dont need to be married for someone to be reliant on you. Any form of cohabitation makes other people dependent on you in some way, even if you aren't in a sexual relationship and lets be real after a couple years in a relationship youre highly likely to be living together. I never said anyone needs to get married/be with someone but the quest for giving and receiving love will naturally turn towards that in many peoples cases

Thats not his point. His point is that regardless of whether you enjoy the commitment or not, it prevents you from being able to take risks and get up in the world because you have other people dependent on you.
