@sue233 Pretty much all of current evolutionary biology hinges on the idea that in the last short while humans ancestors began eating meat and bone marrow. So until you have a new theory of how humans ancestors brains grew faster than anything else on the planet you havent got much of a case

killing animals isnt the thing thats unethical about eating meat. If you were to hunt all your meals chances are those animals you kill would die a lot cleaner and with a lot less screaming than if they had died naturally. What is unethical however is factory farming and a case can even be made for free range farming but killing the animal much short of its expected life span. Killing animals is no more unethical than letting them die though

@kx7500 Thats true, I bet a lot of people would rather they die instantly by sudden trauma like that than slowly and painfully over the course of a week or two. I dont see what your point is with that

@Daniel.Parkins tbh im surprised no one at all in the comments has been talking about lab cultivated meat. because that seems like a pretty darn plausible thing in the not too distant future
