@Christian Lobo Yes but if they can come from so far away to get to us they can probably get to almost anywhere in space. And at that point why are we more interesting than any other alien. Aliens are only super interesting to us because we know nothing about them and have a sense of whimsy about them. I had that same sense of whimsy about why things hit the ground as a kid but i dont have that same sort of whimsy anymore after seeing it for so long

@dannydemonic4799 Youre down the same path joe was in that you cant consider the fact that on the scale of the universe we arent that interesting. Its not about us being ants its about the level of advancement between us and ants is comparable to the level of advancement of some hyper advanced alien species and us. If a super advanced alien species could travel millions of light years to visit us, they can also travel to see probably most other known life in the universe so why would we be more interesting than any of those other life forms, especially if youve already seen life on thousands of planets why would you even care anymore. Not to mention if theyre that advanced, even if they do care about studying us they can probably do it completely undetected by us. we can literally see inside peoples bodies without them feeling a thing so whats to say they cant see everything were doing without us noticing theyre watching

@MrTed-xi2iz Exactly, and they could be so advanced that even if they are interested in us they might have the technology to study us without even noticeably interacting. For example we can essentially see the entire inside of anyones body without them feeling a thing by using an mri. Imagine an mri type device that can view things across light years. Wed have no idea yet they'd still be studying us

@KK-bt6nc There are as many as 11 billion earth like plants orbitting sun like stars in our galaxy alone. Our galaxy is a miniscule portion of the entire universe. The odds of us being one of the only few civilizations in the universe are so astronomically low that youre point is rather irrelevant. Its basically like saying "well yeah but what if I win the lottery" despite you only ever buying 1 ticket in your entire lifetime

@KK-bt6nc we actually have no idea on the chances of a civilization making it to a hyper advanced state. All we know is life is possible on planets with similar conditions as ours, that it begins pretty soon after the conditions become appropriate, and that there are billions of earth like planets in our galaxy alone, making the chance of life starting on other planets somewhere in the universe extremely high
