@jetfire1099 Because mass testing is hard. For one tests were in extremely high demand and low supply at first. secondly how would you mass test without potentially exposing everyone being tested to the virus

The problem is if the hospitals get filled up by people with corona virus then suddenly death from all sources that have a chance of being treated in a hospital increases. The point of quarantine is to reduce the number of people in hospitals so that those who really need to be in a hospital can be. How pissed off would you be if you were in a car accident but couldnt get a hospital bed because half the country has corona virus
