@Growtopia Mods Youre a sheep if you think weed isnt harmful in any way. Its not as harmful as cigarettes, not even close, but its still carcinogenic and damages your lungs, alters your brain chemistry etc

@Sensu you dont need hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars to survive for a few months with no income. If you think that then im not surprised youre struggling
2
@barbelljoe Some people do, depends on who you are though. Doesnt help that when they do mix in baccy they smoke it unfiltered
2
its not for the environment its so hospitals dont get overrun. Also just about every person whos seen the celebrities singing imagine made fun of them
1
@DesertStateInEU its not communism, and yeah most people dont know what the songs actually about, including the celebrities who were singing it, they were just sad they werent getting any attention
1
@DesertStateInEU It ISNT communism. If youre so pissed about being kept inside for a couple months become an entrepreneur and stop whinging. You still live in a capitalist society. They picked the song because they thought it was about a better world where people dont have to worry about the sort of shit going on (because theyre ignorant and out of touch)

@DesertStateInEU Im not naive and uninformed, I just live in a country where my government is remotely competent and put us into complete lockdown early enough that we are already out of it. Im sorry your government is so poorly run that you think theyre just doing this for power bud but oh well. Its a shame it wont get better any time soon either with biden or trump being the next president
1
@DesertStateInEU We are out of it. We did a lockdown for a little over a month and are already almost back to normal life with something like 50 active cases in the country. It really wasnt that bad because our government actually cares about the people in our country and subsidized everyones wages so businesses wouldnt have to fire anyone and people could still live. You could still go outside for essential things and to exercise. Its not unlimited power, stop exaggerating. Fighting against it only prolongs it. "Restricting travel" is kinda dumb given you still havent even closed the country. A couple days after lockdown started in my country someone who lives next door to me flew back to america to be with her family
1
@DesertStateInEU We are out of full lockdown, we can travel domestically in our country. Comparing my country to an actual communist dictatorship where people get arrested for mentioning tiananmen square isnt a valid comparison. We dont depend on the government, they were helping us to stay alive while keeping us safe. Most people are already back to work and not being subsidized anymore. They also legally cant just stop subsidizing you because "you dont behave". They still have to follow the law and would receive massive backlash and not get a second term if they did that. The fact you think a government cant care about the people they live over just shows how paranoid you really are. Also ironic for you to call others indoctrinated when america is one of the most indoctrinated countries in the world. Tell me again about patriotism? Restricting travel is a good way to slow the spread but you guys didnt even close the country entirely, like I said someone who lives next door to me (in a country that had many known cases) was free to fly to your country. Closing the borders to travel hardly restricts the economy given all the tourist attractions are closed anyway, shipping still happens. Do yourself a favour and realise that being paranoid about everything that happens isnt good for your health
1
@DesertStateInEU I said that the economy wouldnt be that affected from shutting down all travel to the country since tourist attractions are closed and shipping still happens. Indoctrination has nothing to do with how much the people depend on the government. Let me ask you this, why are americans the most patriotic group of people youve ever seen? Patriotism is literally government propoganda to make the people believe solely in their own country and their own countries values. Thats indoctrination. Not to mention americas self proclaimed and echoed title of "the land of the free" despite never being the most free country in the world. Being freedom loving doesnt mean jack shit if you arent actually free, if anything it just shows that you arent free because people in genuinely free countries dont bring it up anywhere near as much as americans do. In a democratic society they have to follow the law because they want to be re-elected and the press can fuck them over if they break laws. Im not in a close communist country in fact my country has been ranked higher than america in freedom for years. I definitely wouldnt be happier or healthier if I didnt depend on the government for things like healthcare or benefits when im down on my luck, if anything Id probably be dead. The government having power isnt inherently bad, its only bad when its misused

@DesertStateInEU My country does have right to self preservation and right to own tools used for self preservation. Just because its not in a constitution doesnt mean the country doesnt have those rights. The human freedom index wasnt created by the WHO or the UN, it was created by the cato institute, the fraser institute, the liberales institut, and friedrich naumann foundation. The population of america doesnt contain a single person who refused the ideas and traditions of their founding nation, because all those people have been dead for over a hundred years. Dont act like america is the only country that fought for independence, thats not a unique quality. Patriotism isnt "believing in the US constitution" its the blind belief that your country is best and only makes sense as being a tool to ensure loyalty. "why is it the most communistic people hate the constitution the most" ive literally never heard or read of an american citizen "hating the constitution". They may disagree with a few amendments but thats about it or unkowingly try to take away someones amendment rights while heavily using them themselves (like far left people trying to prevent others from talking while demanding the right to speak). democracy being tyranny of the 51% isnt entirely true because a democracy isnt led by one person, its led by a lot of elected officials, not that it even matters because if anything you just argued against a democratic society which is basically means you support a dictatorship. I dont depend on the government for everything, I accept the aid they offer. Im not going to be sitting at home unemployed with $100 bucks a week to live after rent thinking "this is great ill just sit back and let the government give me all my money". By down on my luck I meant I just got fired and am looking for a job or got diagnosed with cancer and need to afford chemo. Thats something only the rich dont need some form of assistance for. I doubt you could pay for heavy chemo if you were on even a median salary. Ironic of you to encourage someone not to utilise their freedom of speech too.

@DesertStateInEU My country has laws which preserve your right to use necessary force in self defence and guns, knives etc are legal. Thats right to self preservation and right to tools for self preservation. They are just examples which are completely irrelevant to the situation. A conglomerate of multinational organisations developed the index, not a single body with a single idealogy. The constitution is in itself a tradition of america. The fact that people arent actively trying to change the very make up of your legal system isnt proof of being against the traditions of other countries, in fact much of the constitution is traditions shared by other countries. If I have no idea what patriotism is then why havent you once even tried to correct what I said about it. You just gave me a history lesson as if that changes anything I said. If anything it supported what I said in that americans think their country is the best and only way to do things in life, which is just ignorant. The first ammendment is only ever under attack by people who dont understand the law or people who dont realise the hypocrisy of them wanting to say what they want without others being allowed to. The second isnt really under attack given gun control isnt in direct violation of 2A unless all guns are banned, otherwise trying to control guns is just questionably legal in the eyes of the constitution. A constitutional republic is literally a democracy. Yeah and why do you care if they choose to sit at home on a meagre sum of money to live their life out. Thought you were about freedom. Interesting of you to say people should have enough resources to live a few months unemployed when over half of america lives pay check to pay check Health insurance and unemployment were just examples of wear governmental aid can be useful. not to mention comprehensive health insurance can be expensive and many people were never taught to properly manage their money (another thing the government could be aiding with through school) Rich is subjective but the fact its subjective isnt a refuting point to what I said Youre encouraging me to stop talking and accept what youre saying as fact. Why the fuck would I ever do that when you have never directly addressed any of my points in a way that makes me even slightly second guess my opinion
1
@DesertStateInEU well youre completely wrong in that fact given you said 'america is the only country with right to preservation and use of tools for preservation' which is straight up wrong since my country has those laws aswell. also stop trying to make yourself seem big by calling anyone you dont agree with a youtube kid thats stomping and screaming. I read each and everyone of your points and replied to them individually. Its pretty obvious youre just stuck in your own beliefs and unwilling to talk to anyone who has different beliefs (very american mindset as Ive been saying). Speaking of quantum physics do you wanna try educate me on that aswell seeing as you know so much apparently?
1
You realise snitching has literally always been a thing for every single law ever. If you see someone get shot you call the police (oh how very marxist of me to snitch on someone who broke a law)
1
@Sensu Your joke was dog shit
1
@buxadonoff So to sustain yourself for a few months you need 10x the median american household salary?
1
what about prohibition. Womens rights. Slave rights etc.
1
@jayburr73 Yeah theyre hesitant because if they open back up too quickly then a second wave could occur and kill more people. It would be different if there were tested cures and vaccines out and they were still reluctant, but there arent. No one knows for certain the best path to take so airing on the side of caution while you still can is a wise idea
1
@anorginalname805 Even still if they died from a different cause, chances are they wouldnt have died if they didnt also have corona virus at the same time
1
@WestCoastAce27 Problem is america didnt flatten the curve quick enough so now fuck tons of people have it. If only your government was remotely competent
1
@MrSilus2000 What about if the virus spreads through a decent chunk of the population, including rest home workers and hospital workers and then all the immunocompromised/elderly people are exposed
1
@MrSilus2000 Oh, so you dont actually care about peoples rights you just care about doing what you want to do. Also you cant really isolate health care workers. They want to go home and see their families who have a very high chance of being infected with covid
1
@WestCoastAce27 if you just start to flatten the curve and then decide to leave lockdown the curve will just unflatten again...
