@AnthonyHirsch Thing is though, its already happened here and people are actually more likely to like other peoples stuff. Cos lets be real, as shitty as it sounds, its normally the "weird people" that you dont like the posts of but when no one can see that youve liked the "weird persons" post you almost have greater incentive to like it if you know what i mean

@isoccerpluse Instagram isnt literally just about likes, i care about my likes a lot and even though i dont post much i still often compare the likes ive gotten on different posts. What I care more about on instagram is seeing what my friends are doing, showing my friends what im doing and looking at cool pictures

I dont think a lot of instagram thots care about other people seeing their likes, theyll still see their likes, still make tons of money, still have their followers.

@maryallisonmusic615 Youre the one viewing it as a punishment and youre the reason theyre taking the likes away. How is you getting less likes punishment if the likes arent seriously affecting your mental health. Also as someone who barely posts on instagram, if I havent posted in a couple months ill get notably more likes than if I just posted for the second time that week

It doesnt affect people who upload for the likes.... You can still see your own likes, the only people it affects are the people who make likes a competition and is constantly upset that other people get more likes than them
