  2. HITESH Adhikari well yes but they probably say that about their T72's as well. The Centurion is widely known as one of the best tanks ever made and with good reason, some countries are STILL using upgraded versions

  3. WellBattle6 they also had the L7 105mm main gun, probably the most superb 105 ever to see combat, when the British made that thing they made it right, South Africa STILL uses theirs on heavily-modernised Centurions called Olifant 2's

  4. mark blizzard so what did you reckon was the superior tank of the two then? Centurion or Patton? Centurion for me as I've said, despite being the older vehicle it was a damn well-designed one

  6. mark blizzard cool beans :) and yeah well the Abrams is of course a world-beater. What d'you reckon to the Chieftain and Challenger, the follow-ups to the Centurion?

  7. mark blizzard well that and it's the more modern vehicle anyway, the Challenger 2 with it's latest upgrades is up there with the Abrams as one of the best Main Battle Tanks in the world, would never have gotten there without the Chieftain and Centurion before it laying the groundwork though
