  1. DeltaHardcore it's nukes aren't though which is why they're putting so much effort into developing them, they know their conventional army's no match for anyone else's and isn't going to be anytime soon so they put their focus elsewhere

  2. Matthew Familia well he actually just said that one could kill a lot of their tin cans, meaning their numerous but woefully outdated armour, not that one K2 can take on the whole country or something

Thirsty Sexpert well I think I've already made it clear that I disagree with you on all of this and it's doubtful we'll ever agree, but as I kept saying in my earlier comments that's FINE, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and their own favourites and I'm sick of getting into unnecessary, pointless drawn-out arguments with people over stuff that really isn't that important in the long run, so to end this discussion I will simply say that the British Army and British Government will be completely aware of everything we've just said, will have taken on board criticism and praise of aspects of the tank alike and made their own decisions, hence the upgrades presently underway. It's probably gonna get a smoothbore gun now ANYWAY so it can use the same ammo as it's allies, the armour will get better yet lighter at the same time, the engine will become more efficient, it'll get newer rangefinding and detection technology, and maybe even the new Mk.2 B.V. that comes with biscuits as standard for dunking lol. Although it probably won't actually be called the Challenger 3 and will still be the same tank underneath, it'll be sufficiently modernised that it might as well be a brand new tank, at a fraction of the cost of actually procuring a new one

Yeeren and then North Korea immediately gets flattened by a vengeful and still largely intact South Korean/American/Allied steamroller, that will have basically just had a new 9/11 or Pearl Harbour happen to them and will want to reduce everything with a NK symbol or flag on it to it's constituent atoms, and then split those apart for good measure

BlahLord the reason I said in my above comment about the T14 however, that it would 'probably be the end for all of us' if it ever saw real combat, is because if we ever actually see a pitched battle between main-line NATO and Russian forces it'd soon turn nuclear and then we're ALL dead. Might see an export version fight, or they might see some action in somewhere like Chechnya or Ukraine but if the actual full version ever goes into battle against modern western tanks? Hope you got a fallout shelter near you and plenty of provisions as you'll be living down there a WHILE

  10. Thirsty Sexpert it also knocked out many Iraqi armoured vehicles and took those RPG's at near point-blank range in built-up areas where no tank could've maneuvered out of the way. Rifling=accuracy, smoothbore=inaccuracy. Yeah so the gun and electronics are outdated but they're upgrading them. Heavier means a more solid shooting platform and gives the crew greater reassurance of protection. And yeah so other tanks are faster in a straight line, so what, that turret can traverse it's gun as fast or faster than any other in the world and the crews get consistently high marksmanship scores. Oh and underpowered it may be but at least it's reliable and works when you need it to, more than I can say for some tank engines. All in all, you can say and think what you want, that's your right and priveledge, but if there's ever a war I'm involved in and being inside ANY tank's an option then a Chally's where I wanna be, if for no other reason than it's standard issue Mk.1 Boiling Vessel and stockpile of tea :p

Hueira Sparta I still say as an all-rounder the Challenger 2 is better, obviously I'm biased being British but that perfect combination of the latest Dorchester armour, excellent range, speed and reliability AND a rifled Rheinmetal 120mm is tough to beat, and while some of it's tech is presently outdated it's being gradually updated. And before you all leap to every other tank in the world's defense I'm basing my point of view on a proven war-machine with real combat data, not one, not ONE Challenger tank of either model has ever been destroyed in combat and all those damaged have been quickly repaired and sent back into the line, even the American troops had nothing but respect for it and the Iraqi's learned to fear it

Plebby It's a fine tank and the equal of the Challenger but it's no better, everything I just said about the 'Chally' is pretty much true of the Abrams as well; debatably the smoothbore gun and turbine engine of the Abrams could be argued as superior but in my opinion (although as a car mechanic and the son of a marksman I might be biased here lol) diesel engines will always be more reliable and ergonomic on average and rifled guns of any sort by nature give greater accuracy than smoothbore, that part's just from me though as I say

  13. Termitreter The only reason it's so slow and heavy, and even then only compared to what in my opinion are otherwise inferior MBT's, is because it's weighed down by the best reactive ceramic-plate armour in the world

BlahLord well I know the Russians and Putin in particular would certainly like you to think so :) but since no known battlefield weapon has ever been able to so much as cripple a Challenger let alone destroy one (there was that time an insurgent with an RPG got a lucky shot off at the UNDERSIDE of one while it was going up a ramp but that's not exactly gonna be a commonly open area to be shot at and that Challenger was driven home, repaired and sent right back into the line with it's crew all surviving), I'm not exactly shaking in my little British booties just yet lol

  16. BlahLord yeah? Keep waiting, THAT'S the propaganda part talking, for all it's other advancements it's no better armed than the T80 or T90, I'm sure it's a fine tank but an Abrams or Challenger can still match it gun to gun
