  2. Forest Rivers the AK47 is a fine rifle but old-fashioned, if you mean a modern AK variant fair enough. Basically though in a tight spot ergonomics don't mean shit, you've got what you've got, make the most of it

Chris Valentine not just the .280, which was going to be the first standard Nato round, but an all-British rifle to fire it, the EM2, the first modern bullpup and an excellent if expensive little design; both it and it's ammo were adopted, for one solid year before the Americans had one of their tantrums and basically forced everyone to accept 7.62 as standard or else, which led to scrapping the EM2 in place of the SLR/FN FAL

  6. TideFan Yankee look it up, I based everything I said there on established fact, as for wounded shoulders in those circumstances you just use your sidearm or grenades or fire from the hip, or if the wound's too bad for that you just get down, stay down and wait for a medic

TideFan Yankee the .280 was going to be the NATO standard round at first and FN initially designed the FAL to fire it, the Germans would've soon followed suit with their latest version of the G3, and the British commonwealth countries would all have used the same EM2 rifles we were; but the Americans wanted everyone to use the 7.62 as they'd just adopted the M14 at the time, along WITH the aforementioned 7.62
