  1.  @James-st9uu  that's only one kind of fighting, a country's standing professional army should be ready to fight any kind of war anywhere, not just the one that happens to be going on right now; and that war in Ukraine's also showing right now the great importance long-range heavy artillery still has, something we've precious little of and are gonna have in smaller quantity still. I think you'll also find men and tanks are still proving pretty important too for actually holding & taking ground, can't do that with a drone
