Would you rather they'd used models, or CGI had it been made in the modern day, or actually gotten one of the few remaining original Mitsubishi A6M2's and just kept duplicating the image or something like that? there simply weren't enough original aircraft left in safe flying condition so this was the next best thing, it's the same with Battle Of Britain

'The Final Countdown', is a thoroughly bizarre cult classic about the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier accidentally travelling through time with Martin Sheen and Kirk Douglas in tow, complete nonsense lol but fun nonsense and the 80's military hardware being showcased is awesome to watch. The music he plays is from 'Starship Troopers'
