  18. You have valid points. Taiwan is not united enough for independence. So what if referendum passes and we change everything to be called Taiwan? And by the way, the hypocritical government you mentioned has been losing power, and has now switched completely to rely on CCP assistance to regain power. The administration from since 8 years ago has insisted on China and Taiwan treating each other as equal peers. No one is pretending China is weak or belongs to Taiwan any more. Also maybe you misunderstood the election story... plenty of commentators on YT show admiration and jealousy for Taiwanese democracy. But maybe the guy in the video exaggerated. You're not controversial, but hopefully you understand more now.
