  1. The US nuked Japan because of the international humiliation at Pearl Harbour. Japan had bombed US ships lined up like sitting ducks in an enclosed harbour. Who would have thought that 78 years later, Americans would have become the go-to butt of international ridicule, teasing and laughter over the US government, school shootings and Earth's worst pandemic mismanagement.
