Remember when Cambodia was renamed Kampuchea in the 70s when an American asked a Thai resident who he thought was Cambodian what the name of the country was. Fiji is a mispronunciation of Viti (Island/land). Uawa (Tolaga Bay) on the East Coast of Aotearoa New Zealand is a mispronunciation of To kara (Your flag) when locals directed sailors they thought were lost toward Kororāreka (Russell) the original capital city and location of many brothels. Māori from Aotearoa should 'Discover' the UK this Christmas and rename it To mātau hōu whenua (Our new land).

One day our All Black rugby team will have a Fijian Indian in it. Someone will put down their cricket bat and make the transition. Only a matter of time mate.
