I worry that we are setting a precedent and the next step will be to allow the Home Secretary to strip citizenship from anyone that the Government deems a threat to security or social cohesion or what it deems to be the common good, even if they are solely born in Britain, have no other citizenship and would be made stateless - turning British citizenship from a birth right to a privilege. Because after Begum and potentially protesters, the next person who would be targeted if it happened would be a certain outspoken Telford man who is a constant thorn in the side of the Government.
