The big problem is going to be the subscribers who went to OnlyFans for the one unique selling point they can't get from adult websites - the connection, communication, the girlfriend experience that won't be there. What will these men do?

  10. If it's offering services that YouTube expects payment for, it's no surprise that they don't want this app being promoted. What I fear is the forthcoming cease and desist letter being sent to FUTO or worse still, legal action they won't win because Alphabet can afford the best lawyers.

If anything, western countries are marching in lockstep to ban websites and services "for your safety". Russia has the same attitude with Internet censorship and other countries did not do much, if anything up until the war in Ukraine.

Not only is that a summary dismissal offence but could also cost you money and even your liberty. Particularly if it is deemed grossly offensive and outraging public decency as in this case, she would be made an example of by a judge. And what for? Clout?   29. If McNeil wins and Lady Decade pays the money, McNeil publicly declares victory and declares open season on content creators. It will cost thousands if every copyright and IP owner goes after content creators for licensing and royalty fees. Not just for images, but videos, music and even fonts. This will kill content creation in the UK and make it so that only large corporate media who can afford the fees being levied to continue uploading content to YouTube while everyone else closes up shop. Google is the copyright holders public enemy number one, the newspaper outlets hate them because they provide free news content, the music industry considered them pirates, the photographers consider them thieves for providing freely available images on their search engine. What do corporate media think of YouTube content creators? As a threat, pirates who've been getting away with it for too long and ripe for riches to be plundered to their demise. McNeil being paid is the precedent that will allow this to happen. No way the likes of Lady Decade, Top Hat Gaming Man, Ashens, Snopes Game Room, Larry Bundy Jr, Octavius, Nostalgia Nerd, Kim Justice and other UK content creators could pay the fees demanded and levied on them, it will put everyone bar the biggest corporate names out of business.

This is a UK law issue and has consequences for UK content creators if McNeil wins and gets paid. In the same way that if I post something illegal on Twitter I face consequences under UK law where the tweet was posted not US law where the servers are based.

  32. YouTube seems intent on pushing Premium hard. Which would financially make you reliant on remaining on YouTube. If you cast to a TV (which you can't do on Rumble), there is a ongoing trial where a banner appears nudging you to subscribe to Premium.

  48. There is no good that has come out of this. A family has lost a father due to someone who grossly exaggerated what was going on. The police will face greater pressure to reform or disband. But something being missed by commentators is the potential issues for anyone who does suffer from the intrusive nature of noise pollution. People will now be put off and suffer, not in silence, but constantly from a selfish, inconsiderate neighbour for fear of reprisals, whether harm comes to the person complained about or the one making the complaint, that could come back to them. If there are no regulations to deal with persistent noisy neighbours, life is going to get hellish as everyone engages in a noise arms race. This is a tragedy in several ways.
