They genocided entire races just moving where they lived, as happened in America. Do they keep them as pets, slaves or sex toys? No, the small remains of the previous people are in isolated palces. The simple contact between 2 populations is disastrous for the one who is far behind in tech, diseases and commerce, those things are related.
