I think this video could need a remaster, some variables to add:
The author didnt heard of Sol Invictus? A solar deity wich was declared main god by Aurelian and Julian.
To make paganism monoteistic could had been part of the recipt to adapt it.
Being Mitra too a solar god, it would had been easy to the priests to mix them in a single god, so, no division of Europe.
Still, due to the commented difference, I could totally se a schism between a catolic solar cult in wich the greek gods are present as minor gods or saints like in catolicism, and a protestant germanic version without the greek gods.
Would that still make the germans mysoginists?
Still, the goddesses are too much present in european mindset from the european pagan past, so I guess any kind of sincretised female goddess/saint would provide spirituali reference for women.
Obisp Wulfila had already converted the goths to arianism, so east germans were arian christians. That coud had lead to a divided Europe, an arian western Europe, or who knows... like...
as in reality christians not believing in the trinity tended to convert into Islam, this could be a POD for a muslim West Europe.
Wow, now I realiz rhis timeline could drive to the rise of a feminist Islam.
Lets explain:
Official neopagan/solarian Rome becomes in conflict with Syria and Egypt who are christian. In fact in our, reality, they were in confict because those were monofisites instead of nicean.
So, the christian arab warrior queen Mawiya, in her wars against Rome, would be welcomed by the rebel provinces, probably making them secede, like Zaynab did.
She could become a cultural hero and inspire the rise of a feminist Islam later, maybe.
Wow, this timeline should be explored.
