@panarabunity6077 Wich linguists?
The same ones who say that the latin dialects are languages?
I fear they are in open contradiction, the reason for wich they say arabs are dialects too describe the latin languages.
In the comparison chart of the arab dialects in wikipedia i see as many diversity as the latin languages.
Just seeing how diferent are the yemeni, magrebi ir maltese, how you can say is just one language?
Then say to the linguists to admit that castellano, occitan, pirtuguese, toscan, french... are just dialects of latin language.
Until that, as they say i speak a language and not a dialect even if i can easily read portuguese, catalan o toscan, i too can say that magrebi, yemeni, maltese, are languages.
I have the impresion that the problem is the western prejudice of one country one language, and as you are a panarabist you refuse to acnowledge your diversity, while the european states refuse yo admit gow similar they are.
I don’t care those politics.
For me if they can’t understand is a diferent language, and the arab group is as diverse as the latin or turk group.
As long as linguists doesn’t agree ill consider arab has diferent languages, and you will have to consider under your own rules that exist just a pair of latin language (romanian is completely diferent and not intelkengible yo the rest).
So more than 800 people in world speak the latin language.

@panarabunity6077 no dialects, if they have great dificulty understanding each other they are separate languages, and magrebis say clearly they barely understand others.
See the latin languages.
Many of them are mutually intellegible in their written form, most dificulty is in the pronunciation, and noone says they are just dialects.
Arab languages are as varied as the latins.
So chose, or there are many arab languages or the galaicoportugues, castilluan, catalán, toscan, occitan, french...
Are just latin dialects.
