  1. All the cops need is probable cause to believe there is trespassing going on to arrest the squatters. That’s it. I’m pro police, but law enforcement managers (the chief and sheriff are not leaders) are using plausible deniability to get out of doing their job. If cops reasonably believe a lease is fake, then they can make arrests. They can look up ownership records online and ask the lawful owner questions.

  2. @@MoneyVisions93 You’re thinking about evictions, which are civil matters. Trespassing is criminal, which all law enforcement officers that have jurisdiction in the area can enforce, including deputy constables, deputy sheriffs, police officers, and state troopers. The police and district attorneys make all kinds of excuses to weasel out of doing their job.
