  1. Make sure you pay back veterans for all education benefits earned in military service. If you’re going to forgive debt for people who didn’t serve, then pay back education benefits veterans earned and used.

  2.  @EverettBurger  Service members accrue military education benefits as a service benefit. I’m a veteran, but I served in law enforcement over twenty years. In my law enforcement career there were opportunities for education benefits, but I used military education benefits. You make a good point: cops deserve to get paid for the education benefits they earned to the same degree student loan debts get forgiven.
