  1.  @philmissy1  not quite. A ton goes into processing, good sounding at the source or not. Desser, limiters, compression, eq, panning for stereo width, reverb, and this is just the bare fundamentals. Even in non pop music, it has to not sound like mud, preserve transient response, asdr dynamics, and has to sound loudish yeah? And believe me I hate loudness war / pop music. Can agree that the language is limited and ambiguous toward describing sound but that’s just most langue application when using metaphors / adjective aye. Offer some ideas for better word usage ?
