  1. I was living and working in Seattle when I saw the YC-14 take off from Boing field, for the last time. Never to be seen again. It was beautiful to see it lift off so effortlessly.

I spent 43+ in the military if that matters, I'm just not inclined to be interested in what goes on, half a world away in a country of "third world bomb dodgers." It is certainly important to those being sadly affected by the conflict there. But not a thing of interest to me.
