I'm convinced that all the military academies are liberal arts institutions with just a sprinkling of military training tossed in. During my almost 16 years interacting with RA officers, the lack of a warrior mentally at the O-5 and above level was stunning. The standard MO was CYA and stay risk adverse.

If you look close in the Circle C Cowboys one, you can recognize at least one German Cavalry saddle and several McClellan saddles. Both videos are worth watching.
