  1. If you want a simple explanation a blanket pulled flat is a representation of space time. Place a bowling ball in the middle and the blanket sinks... that is space time being curved. Space time is a fabric that is malleable. It's flat where there is no mass to wrap it.

  3.  @bayareaomg  now that is just for the area between things like planets. As for total over all shape of space no one knows. It's like why we don't know the shape of our own galaxy because we can't get out of it.
