@ktu668 Let's start with an example, the UK occupied Afghanistan for nearly 20 years. In that time many Afghans likened the British influence however many Afghans didn't. Now that the British have left, the Afghans who liked the British influence are now persecuted by the Afghans who disliked the British influence and these people are fleeing Afghanistan and coming to the UK. Now it doesn't take a person with a PhD to work out that if you meddle in another country's affairs you are leaving yourself responsible for any mess that your intervention creates. We can go back in history and find British intervention in lots of other countries so imo Britain has every obligation to accept people from countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Nigeria etc. And remember under the 1952 UN Refugee Convention the UK has every obligation to accept people who come to UK and seek asylum. In simpler terms you've only got to blame Britain's past for the situation we now find ourselves in. That's why nobody is doing anything about it because the damage was done years ago!!!!

Tbh I really don't know what life is like in Albania; it could be quite cruel even though the politicians say otherwise. Politicians love to polish turds 👍👍👍

@markohenry5891 But you forget the UK was pivotal in establishing the Human Rights Act. After all the atrocities the Brits carried out during empire years it can't really go back to the 'old ways' 👍👍👍

The UK Government is reactionary. It's never pro-active or preventative. It will only do something when it's forced to do something simply because it doesn't like paying out the money. The UK Government could have been pro-active and ensured the population got better health education to prevent the high numbers of ill/sick people but alas we continue to see sick and ill people!! Life in Britain isn't that great!!

@TheCrimsonAvenger I'd agree with the first part of your comment like all other countries. As for taxpayer's money, that's a complete myth imo. If I gave you money because I had an obligation to give you money, the money you receive is no longer mine to use, it's yours to use how you see fit. It's all part of the stitch up you highlight, making foolish people think it's their money and the people have some clout in the running of the country. In reality the money belongs to the Crown and it's down to Charles' Parliament to decide where their revenue is best spent or allocated. The people have no say where money is spent, no different to where your Council Tax is spent, you don't get any say!!

It's ironic you moan the Government doesn't represent you yet to fail acknowledge the MP's and Lords all swear an oath to the Crown, not to the people 😂😂🤣🤣

The country is in the hands of the Crown and it is up to the Crown to decide what's best for the country and for you and I. You and I have no say whatsoever. @ktu668 Sorry but if the UK hadn't have invaded Iraq and occupied Afghanistan for example, we wouldn't be seeing Iraqis and Afghans coming to the UK wanting to live here.
