  1. I haven't paid for a TV licence in over 25 years. Reason is that I don't have a TV. I think all TV is sh@t. You state the BBC needs to be defunded but you're overlooking the fact the BBC is founded on a Royal Charter first started in 1927 by George V and has been renewed ever since. The terms of the Charter clearly sets out the right of the BBC to collect licence fees from people and if people stopped paying their licence fees in order to defund the BBC, with authorisation from Government, they'll take the money from everyone's Council Tax instead. No defunding and no reforming for people like you but huge win for the BBC and Local Authorities as they'll receive a cut from the billions they'll collect! In simpler terms, you've got no hope of ever defunding the BBC.

  2. well we'll be paying it through our Council Tax in a few years time so you'll have to pay it whether you have a TV or not.

  3. the BBC exist because of ROYAL CHARTER (the BBC were Incorporated in 1927 by request of George V), the BBC has the power to claw revenue to pay for its services. The BBC has the power to apply to Parliament to create legislation to protect its business. If people think the BBC should not receive statutory handouts, they need to rattle the gates at Buckingham Palace!!
