Because the council in Bude probably still receive funding from the EU and as part of the deal to receive that money is to promote the funder. It's no different to a charity receiving National lottery funding, the charity have to promote National lottery logos on their promotional material like letterheads etc. You're paranoid if you think it's subliminal messaging and I'd suggest you contact a mental health professional.

It's always a condition of the funding to promote where the money comes from. Nigel is really scraping the barrel here but then again he does have a screw or two loose!!!

The English employers are only in it for the money. They don't care what language people talk as long as they do what they're told and get the job done. Many EU workers work far better than English workers!!!

There's always a sensible answer to questions like yours Catherine that only needs a bit of sensible thought to answer. The English language has been exported to the world and is not in threat of extinction, unlike the Welsh language. I'm sure if the English language was in threat of extinction employers would have their employees speak the language to keep the culture and traditions of the English people alive. There's probably not many muslims who speak Welsh unlike the numbers of muslims who speak English so I don't blame the Welsh nationalists for wanting to keep their language alive! And remember there are many English people who cannot speak English properly even though they've been educated in England!!!

@historex54tamiya Hahaha! So the UK Government has given the EU money who then distributes some of it back to UK communities who then display logos/flags to promote where the money has come from. The National lottery players based in UK buy their tickets which then allows Camelot to distribute monies back to UK charities who then display logos to promote where the money has come from. I can't see any difference between the two!! You're clearly not the sharpest chisel in the toolbox!!
