@sirbasilflapjack671 Yes and many people in the former Empire colonies loved being occupied and ruled by the British that much they want to come the the UK where they can be British 👍 Just like the Afghans and Iraqis who come to the UK now 👍 It's no wonder we can't say "no, you can't come in" to these people because they consider themselves to be British!!!

@TableTopWolf1984 But the businesses can only afford wage rises if the Government subsidises them. Can't have people making money in business and the 50% of UK workers earning good wages!! One has to lose out because nobody is prepared for there to be an even playing field. Some would say the Government subsidises the pay anyway - Universal Credit 👍

@CJMVector321190 If private rented accommodation wasn't available there would be something else. The point is people shouldn't make profit from people's fundamental needs.

@sirbasilflapjack671 Tbh if the British hadn't colonised and occupied other countries for financial gain there wouldn't be the mass immigration now that many people are whinging about 👍

@TableTopWolf1984 but the people on universal credit, even those working full time are still poor, perhaps there shouldn't be as wide a gap between the haves and have nots 👍
