  3. Ok, India was occupied by the British and the wounds from the RECENT past still exist within the Indian people. I've yet to come across a single person who continues to resent the Norman and Roman conquest of Britain and for pilfering the resources of the islands. Therefore you cannot compare India's recent occupation by the British to the occupation of Britain by the Normans some 1000 years ago.  @wolfu597

  8. There are other 'great people' from other countries that have helped benefit you in your life. There are other countries in the world other than Britain that has 'fair' legal systems, where people can speak freely without being imprisoned, where women have the same rights as men etc. So I'll ask again, name one benefit of being patriotic?  @gilly5094
