the deal is done without MP's voting on it because Charles asserted his influence through royal preorgative to seal the deal!! It's not worth MP's voting post deal. More importantly by voting against the deal it means they're breaking their oath of allegiance to the King!! The deal is done and anyone who's challenging it needs to get over it!!!

no it's not - it's HIS constitutional parliament and we're living in 2023 not 1215 or earlier. The King makes the decisions when MP's cannot!! Rishi clearly applied some common sense by asknig the King to intervene and provide the seal of approval for the deal. So there's no point in anybody challenging the deal because if they do they're breaking their oath of allegiance to the Monarch.

@indogoUI yup absolutely!! somebody with some sense at last!

In my opinion the King exerted his influence over Parliament by using royal preogative afterall, it's been over 2/3 years and all MP's have done is bicker and argue and gotten nowhere!

@jane1975 so how come rishi's NI deal hasn't had a vote in the commons? as far as I'm concerned everybody has got to accept it because the Monarch has approved it! You do realise the Monarch can exercise royal prerogative? In other words, what they say goes!!
1
@jane1975 Btw, when the Monarch signs off a bill, it becomes an Act of Parliament and thus law. The Monarch IS the law in the UK. Without the Monarch there is NO law. This is why the Monarch cannot be prosecuted for anything. You really do have a skewed perception on UK society. Quote - What part of Constitutional Monarchy do you not understand Disagree. Imo we live under absolute Monarchial Rule where the Monarchy exercises their absolute right to govern the people of the UK by HIS/HER Constitutional Parliament of which the Monarch heads.

@nicotoscani1707 the king just has with the new NI protocol deal!! Did you not read the news yesterday?? Obv not!

@jane1975 what's with the our monarchy?? the king or queen of the UK are not political you are right but they still retain the lawful right to have the final say on business matters of the UK, NI and commonwealth!! So what they say goes and because the King has given the deal his consent everybody who swears an oath of allegiance to the Monarch MUST agree to it! If this wasn't the case and MP's had greater power than the MOnarch why is it MP's are having the vote on the deal AFTER it's already been finalised?? You people are fcuked up!! quote - The last reigning monarch to advise a government minister was George the 6th. what?? are you for real?? a Monarch doesn't advise a government minister it's the other way round! You clearly do not know what a Monarch is!! At the end of the day you, me and the rest of the UK populatoin are ruled/governed by the Monarch via the Crown's constitutional Parliament, which the Monarch heads! The Monarch has absolute authority in Parliament by exercising royal prergative over the Lords and Commons! If you cannot see the wood through the trees there's no help for you!!

@Scott Smith quote - He isn’t involved he just shook her hand! Do keep up! how do you know that? were you there? No you wasn't. You probably read a newspaper article and think it's true It's my opinion this happened Rishi was so pished off with MP's bickering and squabbling like schoolkids about the NI protocol and not getting any resolution that he took manly steps to ask the King to intervene and approve the NI deal thus bypassing MPs and Lords in Parliament. Charle's meeting with Ursula and the photo was a message to everybody that the NI deal was agreed So the NI deal is now done and dusted without any MP having voted on it in the commons!!! To me this demonstrates the King's authority in Parliament
