  7. They film the landings because they feel their security and personal safety is being threatened? Hahaha!! I've never heard so much rubbish. The asylum seekers will be held in a detention centre, they won't be left to roam in the Dungeness area to steal and threaten the locals. Ever heard of the Police? Not the 80's pop band but the Police force who deal with complaints about social problems - give them a call if you feel threatened. The number is 111 or 999 in an emergency. Talk about hysteria!!! Forget about the people in boats just get on and enjoy your retirement Kim!!! Oh and try and smile next time you're on camera!!!

  11.  @mikelane4896  far from it - the UK is a contracting state to the 1951 UN Refugee Convention and so has an obligation to accept people crossing the channel who wish to seek asylum in UK! it's clear you have an issue with that - probably because you weren't consulted! But then again the UK is not YOUR country!!

All you can do is live in it according to the rules laid out by Queen lizzie and HER Government. So be a good subject Mike, stop complaining and just do as Queen lizzie expects of you. Oh and remember to wave that union jack too when required. If you dislike it, become an immigrant in another country!!

Under the 1951 UN refugee convention which the UK has a duty to uphold being a signatory and contracting state, the UK has to accept these people. If you dislike it, you can always become a British immigrant elsewhere by leaving the UK 👍👍👍

  18. How are they illegal landings? If the people on board claim asylum they are not illegal and the UK Government has every obligation under the 1951 UN Refugee Convention to accept them into the country.

  19.  @exb.r.buckeyeman845  ere we go - another misinformed person! Under the 1951 UN Refugee Convention there is no requirement for asylum seekers to claim asylum in the nearest safe country. The term safe country is not even included within the text! Where you got this load of b@ll@cks from is beyond me but there is notthing illegal about landing on the shores of southern england after crossing the channel from France in a dinghy or even raft for that matter, wanting to claim asylum in the UK!! So if a person fleas any country in the world and that person wishes to come to UK to make an asylum application they can legally do it!

Don't you think the UK is great that it can provide refuge for people who wish to claim asylum? I think it's wonderful! I mean, the UK has got the monarchy, parliament and MP's, the NHS, policing, legal systtem, education, benefit system what more do you want?

I don't care if people come into the country and claim asylum because the UK has an obligation to accept them. Most developed countries probably experience the same problems Btw I really don't understand how you feel your security and personal safety is being threatened? You have the Police number if ever you need them!! Report an emergency on 999 or you can always contact 111.
