Pensioners get loads of money. I've never heard so much fearmongering from people in my life. I'm so pleased the Govt has voted to ensure Winter Fuel Payments are only given to those who need it most. Pensioners receive no less than £218.15 every week. That excludes CTax, Housing costs, pensioners on a low income can receive help with NHS costs including dental treatment, glasses and prescriptions. Pensioners receive free bus passes and there's probably going to be help available from energy companies. If you think what Labour has done is wrong, then you must think it right the Govt gives out your money to millions of pensioners who don't need it.

@adammorgan1776 An own home is disregarded for benefit purposes. I'm not referring to state pension in my comment, which shows how little you really know. I'm referring to the minimum income a pensioner can expect to receive each week. If a single person receives less than £218.15 each week in state pension they can expect a top up of pension credit to the £218.15 minimum income. FYI the full rate of new State Pension is £221.20 a week. So do you think you can live on £218.15 each week especially knowing that you won't be as active as you are now, you won't eat as much as you do now and you won't spend as much as you do now? And you don't even have to pay any rent/mortgage or Council Tax out of that either!! Remember also the free bus pass, prescriptions, dental treatment, glasses etc all thrown in for nothing. Oh and if you do get an income above the £218.15 you can still get financial help with Council Tax, rent/mortgage, NHS health costs etc. Pensioners have never had it so good!!

@adammorgan1776 I'm not talking about rates of state pension like you, I'm talking about the minimum the law allows a single pensioner to live on excluding housing costs and council tax payments! So if they receive a state pension that is less than this amount they can receive a top up!! What's your beef Adam? Don't tell me it had nothing to do with pensioners, you just dislike labour and you'll criticise them whatever they do, even if they brought in a policy that made you better off? Right??
