Juggernaut 797 for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, absolutely, this is true when it is applied correctly. When one mass interacts/comes into contact with another mass there will be an equal and opposite reaction. With rockets, the thrust moving in one direction cannot interact with the rocket as it is moving away from it, so the thrust can only interact with the ground/surrounding air. There is nothing in space for thrust to interact with. Newton's 3rd law of motion applies to masses that come into contact with each other, not masses moving away from each other. If you think i'm wrong, hold a hammer on top of a nail and quickly lift the hammer up, does the nail go in the opposite direction? Your understanding says it would!!!

Motokid600 we're typing about newton's 3rd law which is the only explanation provided by mainstream to describe how a rocket works. Nevertheless if you watch a space shuttle launch you will notice the fuel is ignited outside of the nozzle, not inside so combustion must take place outside the nozzle. This is because the nozzle is filled with fuel/liquid oxygen and air is not present. Liquid oxygen only intensifies the burn but the burn occurs in the presence of air. So not only can a mass not cause an equal and opposite reaction on a mass moving away from it but nothing can burn in the absence of air. You are fooled into thinking what you do because ALL space is just a dream.

Motokid600 the shuttles main engines can clearly be seen to ignite externally with the help of sparks that travel across the path of the escaping fuel because there is air present to enable the fuel to burn. This would also indicate that no combustion takes place within the combustion chamber. With liquid and hybrid rockets, immediate ignition of the propellant(s) as they first enter the combustion chamber is essential. and yet there are clearly sparks present immediately external to the nozzle. So the truth is you light the fuels in the same manner you would your gas stove or blow torch! how can you have unburnt hydrogen and where does the hydrogen come from? Duh! Oh yeah! Inside the rocket's fuel tank and the fuel is pumped into the rocket's thrust chamber and then out into the nozzle, where it is ignited! Your comments get more ridiculous by each post! Oh btw - the Earth is actually flat because if rockets did work according to your application of newt's 3rd law, then moving a hammer away from the point of contact of a nail's head which is held on top of a piece of wood, would drive the nail into the piece of wood. THink about it, to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction so, like the thrust moving in one direction alone causes an equal and opposite force on the rocket to move in opposite direction so then would the nail be forced into the block of wood by lifting up the hammer!

according to newt's 3rd law (to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction) and it's application to explain how rockets work, a mass moving AWAY from another mass should impart a force on the other mass it had contact with. That's how newt's law of motion is applied to rockets. However in my understanding newt's 3rd only applies to masses that come together eg the hammer hits the nali, the car hits the tree, your foot pushes on the ground, the rocket's exhaust column comes into contact with the surruonding masses eg air, ground. Remember AIR HAS MASS and so too has the exhaust so by virtue of newt's 3rd law an action/reaction MUST take place!

are you not overlooking drag as a reaction to resist the car's forward motion? You included friction between the wheels and road surface but fail to take into account the air resistance. Do you not recognise air is a mass and even cars are designed aerodynamically to reduce drag or air resistance?

moon landings were faked, bad science tells us that rockets work in space, bad science also tells us the earth is a globe, whereas rockets dont work in space and the earth is indeed flat, btw most of the challenger astronauts who allegedly died are still alive and kicking. space is all fake!!

I do not accept any of the information in this video regarding nukes in space to be true simply because CD omitted actual proof that what he was stating was in fact true! Vintage, repeated video footage just doesn't cut it for me I'm afraid but, it's a great story for all those who want their imaginations nourished!

Sorry that segment showing alleged curvature of the Earth is 'fools gold'! You do realise the camera had a lens on it and also, I'd imagine, the camera was mounted inside the rocket, not outside so any viewing window on the rocket would likely to have been curved. By the way, the lens on the camera could have been a precursor to the fish eye lens now used in lots of aerial videography. Earth is ________________________________________________________________
