  1. Apparently Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty when the RMS Lusitania sank. He ordered no British navy vessel to accompany the ship in the hope it would be the target of U boats that were operating in those waters. If it sunk this could have drawn the Americans into the war. Churchill wasn't a very nice man!!!
