  1. story telling at its very best! Brian is no different to Gene Roddenberry. Water is just water - no hydrogen and oxygen ever been produced from water alone! And never any new water ever been created from oxygen and hydrogen reacting together. If you think I'm wrong take a specified amount of hydrogen and oxygen in a 2:1 ratio and generate the specified amount of water! Remember Lavoisier's Conservation of Mass though, water cannot be created nor destroyed, water can only change from one form to another eg solid ice to liquid water. So be careful of water migration in the form of vapour/gas if you think water is produced solely from your hydrogen burning in oxygen! Oh and remember water vapour in the air as there's lots of it!
