@gregg93 by the way - you do realise the Chagossians primarily from Diego Garcia were forcibly removed by the British to make way for a US military base and yet you have the nerve to say the people should have the say on their determination?? I hope you're not one of these so called patriots!!

Chagos isn't going to fail, the British have no legal claim to the Islands.

@gregg93 the UK has accepted the decision based on law. The 2 parties agreed settlement but now Mauritius clearly changed their minds!

@gregg93 yep Britain and Mauritius may argue regarding settlement however because Mauritius has the backing of international law they can ask Britain and the US to leave the islands if Britain doesn't agree to their terms. If they don't agree Mauritius can go back to UN for help to enforce law or their wishes! There is also the ICC as well! So many avenues to reach agreement or force agreement!!

@gregg93 I understand your point, but societies do not work like that. It would be better if the people came first in any decision-making process, but they don't! We don't have any say at all that is of any value

@gregg93 I speak to a lot of so called patriots and a lot of them come across to me as being unprincipled, self righteous and self centred! I don't wish to be those! The UK could be a better country to live for everyone imo and yet, what do so called patriots want?? Think about it. What do so called patriots actually want? They don't want the country to be better for EVERYONE they only want the country better for themselves!!
