  1. Why do we become addicted? The answer is simple! It stems from bad upbringing; basically the result of our parent's inability to truly love us as children. Our parents therefore, do not truly love each other! Given this, people are never addicted to the things they crave for as all addictive problems lie within us!

  2. Smeif Chapman I never typed that people with addiction come from a broken home - you did! Yes, it can affect anyone but the quality of parental relationship/upbringing plays a significant part in the formation of any addiction. Another factor is an individual's desire to escape their own reality of their life. If people were truly happy they wouldn't need to take drugs. If you carried out a survey to determine how happy people with addictions are, if they were truthful, you'd find none were truly happy. But always remember, even people who are not addicts aren't truly happy either. One final thing, always bear in mind that substances are never addictive. The cause of the addictive behaviour lies within the individual.
