  17. Russia targeted military installations. The Ukrainian air defence systems are based in populated areas which is against humanitarian law. The Ukraines just targeted civilian areas which is why Russia went to the UN!!

For over a week Russian troops have held their ground in Vovchansk against a larger number of Ukrainian forces. Newly drafted Ukrainian soldiers are preferring to surrender than to be killed in other areas on the frontlines.

  40.  @guydreamr  I think the people of the UK live under absolute Monarchial rule which is achieved through His/Her Majesty's Constitutional Parliament to which the Monarch heads. All MP's and Lords swear oaths of allegiance to the Monarch, not to the people. The Monarch has overriding decision making ability, e.g. the recent Windsor Framework (WF) that saw an overwhelming majority in the HoC. The MP's had to support the Windsor Framework because they are showing their true allegiance to Charles. So the DUP have to uphold their allegiance to Charles and accept the WF even though they dislike it. The people's sovereignty has been surrendered years ago to the Monarch. Governance in the UK is a top down process, not bottom up. That's why I don't vote and never will because the Monarch will always run the show!! Imo people like you are part of the problem because you want to believe the people are in charge of the country when the reality is the Monarch runs the show and every MP and Lord acts in the interests of the Monarch first then the people. If people want to revolt against the Government because of a specific failing or poor policy the people should protest at Charles because it is HIS Government, not the people's Govenrment; Charles is the only person who has sole responsibility to govern the people. Perhaps if people started to protest at Charles instead of waving silly flags and blaming Sunak, Starmer and all the others things might change for the better!!

  46. They've annexed Crimea, they've nearly captured all of Luhansk Oblast, Donetsk region is coming into Russian hands along with other regions of Ukraine. The SMO only began in 2022. Trench warfare isn't easy. The Brits and Americans would have faced the same problems!!! Ukraine has lost around 500,000 soldiers, 3 times as many more injured!!! Russia has got plenty of time. It's economy this year is forecast to grow faster than any in European country and even the US 👍

  50.  @Stevekpb  Russian troops were outside Kiev just after the start of the military operation. They only withdrew as a condition to allow peace negotiations to take place. The peace negotiations that Boris Johnson et al persuaded Ukraine to ditch even though they agreed to them.
