I had freedom to travel throughout the EU now that is gone!!!! There are NO benefits for the man/woman on the street leaving the EU. We can cut VAT on fuel if we left the EU. Now with the energy crisis the UK isn't cutting VAT on fuel to help households but the EU IS cutting VAT. Britain is broken, the politics are broken and the Union is broken!!!!

  4.  @MalcolmXpat  the ECHR is not the main protectorate foir asylum seekers. For asylum seekers it is the UN 1951 Refugee Convention as you say and 1967 protocol. UN rules protect asylum seekers and make their channel crossing lawful. I would have thought the OP would know all of this! In fact I would have thought EVERYBODY would klnow all of thise!! The ECHR can be used to protect people's human rights once in the country if they face possible deportation due to unsuccessful asylum application!

  10.  @leetjohnson  so you state charcoal takes fire or flame readily like petrol or tissue paper. So can you please explain why do you need an accelerant or fire starter to start a charcoal bbq? If charcoal was flammable like petrol you'd only need a match! Oh don't tell me you use the charcoal that's already impregnated with a flammable substance to make it catch fire with a match! If you cannot see the difference between flammable and combustible then you've seriously got mental health issues or eaten too many burgers on your bbq!

  21.  @royboy565  The UK Government is only formed because of the ruling Monarch. When did you vote for the Monarch to form a Government on your behalf to govern you? You haven't and you never will get that vote. In the UK we live in an electoral dictatorship where YOU have NO say in how the country is run. And the reason why that is, is because it's NOT your country, it belongs to the Crown!! Btw, some dictatorships can be very positive for the people, all depends on the individual. I heard Gaddaffi gave interest free Government loans to his citizens so they could buy a house and not be homeless. Can you ever see that happening in the UK???

  25. I love it how JOB doesn't want to admit the working environment can be very toxic!!! Let's face it, many employees don't want to work and only want the money. They attend in body but not in mind. Employers can be nasty to their employees. Perhaps if people were treated with a bit more respect, earnt more money and valued there wouldn't be so many people off sick.

The majority of Prime Ministers of the UK are ENGLISH!! That's why in my comment I stated the PM is USUALLY English. I NEVER stated the PM is ALWAYS English. Instead of jumping to conclusions actually take the time to read my comment!! You can say all you like about how many welsh, scottish and NI politicians in Westminster but you'll NEVER see a Scottish First Minister, a Welsh First Minister or a First Minister in Stormont as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom!!!! Why not? Because the English would hate it!!! So to me, we're not in a true union and as I highlighted in my comment at least the EU has a rotating presidency enabling all countries to be involved in the leadership of the Union.

For example the devolved Governments do not have the final say on all matters relating to taxation. The Government with the final say on taxation is the Westminster Government mainly made up of ENGLISH MP's!!

If the government want to change the way parliament or the business of UK plc work they have to go through Parliament and labour is a part of parliament!!
