@leetjohnson so you state charcoal takes fire or flame readily like petrol or tissue paper. So can you please explain why do you need an accelerant or fire starter to start a charcoal bbq? If charcoal was flammable like petrol you'd only need a match! Oh don't tell me you use the charcoal that's already impregnated with a flammable substance to make it catch fire with a match! If you cannot see the difference between flammable and combustible then you've seriously got mental health issues or eaten too many burgers on your bbq!

Somebody forgot to ask the most obvious question - how can carbon monoxide, which allegedly is a carbon and oxygen compound, be flammable? Although combustible, carbon is non-flammable and oxygen is only comburent (supports combustion). In my opinion hydrogen is in carbon monoxide!

@leetjohnson all living matter is made up of carbon? Really? So tell me Lee (thinks-he's-right) Johnson how do you think you can prove that statement to be true? I'd love to know!

@leetjohnson btw imo a carbonised material like charcoal although non-flammable can combust!

@leetjohnson yup i've stated already charcoal although is non flammable is combustible! There is a difference between flammable and combustible! My definition of flammable is easily or readily take fire or flame. Will charcoal take flame as easily as petrol or tissue paper? yes or no?
