I think the entire event is rubbish. The day should be for people to remember ANYBODY they've lost in their life, whether a true love, a relative, a dear friend, work colleague or even a soldier..........the day should not be solely about soldiers who died years gone by and who the people have no connection with whatsoever.

@verystripeyzebra I'm fully aware of the reasoning for having the day but I think it's rubbish because I along with millions of other people have no affiliation to any war dead 👍

@verystripeyzebra You don't get it do you? Maps are not used to navigate, charts are used. Charts are 2 dimensional and only refer to the location of a vessel given a specific amount of time and distance travelled. Charts are not interested in what shape the Earth is. Like I've stated, it is my understanding nobody knows what the sun and moon actually are, man can only hypothesise about these because man cannot prove the Moon for example is a lump of rock, hurtling through space. Carry on thinking the Earth is a globe, the sun is a ball of nuclear fusion and fission and the Moon is a giant lump of rock, whatever the case, you can NEVER prove your position is true 👍

@verystripeyzebra When you next take a flight or travel on a ship ask to see the 'maps' they use to navigate. You will find you won't be able to determine the shape of the Earth from them because they are not maps, they are charts. The 'maps' you refer to are only used on land and only depict a specific area of land. Try a large stretch of water instead 👍
