  5.  @davidgreen6490  When the vote took place in 2014 the UK was still in the EU. Since then fundamental change occurred in 2016 when the English took the majority vote to force Scotland out of EU. The 2014 vote was based on being in EU but as the UK is no longer in the EU there needs to be a new vote. The 2014 vote was only based upon the UK being part of the EU!!

  8. British people are overwhelmed by the sheer lack of liberty they have in the country. Overwhelmed by Monarchial rule. They don't call it blighty for nothing, blighted with unhappiness!! I have a non-participation attitude because there are lots of things in this country I don't want to participate in and voting is one of them - what's the point in voting when all MP's work for Her Majesty's Government!!!. What makes it worse is many English dislike the Scots and vice versa, many Welsh dislike the English etc. it is the Dis-United Kingdom!!!

If you bothered to look at the job vacancies there's many jobs that are duplicated and many jobs are only 'apprenticeships' for 18-24 year olds under the DWP Kickstart programme. Also you fail to mention how much taxpayer money is funding these new programmes/initiatives? For example, £30m in taxpayer subsidies are helping Vauxhall invest £100m in electric vehicles. Foreign businesses have the upper hand where they can blackmail the Government to obtain cash advantages because the Government have to show that Brexit is working. It wouldn't surprise me if Vauxhall hardly pay any business rates because they've done a nice deal with Cheshire West Council just to keep their car plant open at the expense of the residents. Many British companies cannot trade freely with European countries so they have reloacted to the EU and taken business and jobs with them which you forgot to mention. Pigs are being shipped to Netherlands and ROI to be butchered only for the meat to be sent back to UK for sale helped along by Government subsidies. UK will be joining CPTPP ( this is almost a completed agreement) - it hasn't been agreed and completed and we haven't seen any benefits. What's the point in moving goods half way around the world when the same goods can be obtained on our doorstep at a lower price. The list can go on and on!! I've not seen any benefits from coming out of EU. If you think joe bloggs is getting any benefit from Brexit you need to show me where they are!!

The leader is a Sir, pro-establishment and they are Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition so they have to uphold decisions the 'business' makes whether good or bad. On the BBC article (Plan for lifetime ban....) it states:- The home secretary - who will introduce the new laws - told the "the only route to the UK will be a safe and legal route". The Home Office says there are a number of these routes to the UK. However, some are only available to people from specific countries, such as Afghanistan and Ukraine, or for British National status holders in Hong Kong. The information is there. Ukrainians can even arrive in the UK from a flight without a Visa and claim asylum. How safe is that??? Remember many refugees don't have any documentation so cannot travel by these methods. There's nothing illegal about people crossing the Channel in dinghies to land on UK shores and claim asylum!!!

HM Coastguard covering the Shetland Isles awarded a contract to Bristow Helicopters to maintain HM Coastguard's helicopter rescue services. The Coastguard have 'privatised' the service but it's still free to the people being rescued. The NHS is similar in that private companies are starting to deliver services on behalf of the NHS but the overall responsibility lies with the DHSC. We already have an insurance based system in the UK, it's called National Insurance. Did you not hear Boris Johnson increase NI to help pay for the increased costs of the NHS???

  258. The behaviour won't end because MP's all work in Parliament which is an institution; a palace, not a place of work. MP's are 'members' not employees so they can have a drink at one of the number of commons bars, get tipsy and return to the chamber to vote on a particular bill or something. Nearly all employees in the UK cannot drink alcohol at work. So MP's can literally say and do anything. It's only when they're found out are they hung out to dry!!!

If you turn up at an interview totally disinterested I don't think any employer will offer you the job!! Employers are looking for work minded people, if your mind is not on any particular work you'd be deemed unsuitable! You've had fear instilled in you by the Tory Government and yet there's always been people who have been out of work, claiming jobseekers for years!! Anyway what's wrong with doing lower paid work? I have been long term unemployed - 13 years and of course the unsubstantiated fear exists of getting pushed into a job you don't want to do. However, that fear was self generated. The JCP never forced me into a job I didn't want to do during that 13yr period. Although I have been working for the past 12 years, I know lots of people who currently don't get hassle from JCP! It's the underlying fear of losing benefits that perpetuate the fear and negativity about being forced into work! Sanctions are only in place to ensure the welfare and safety of JCP staff and to earn some kind of respect from jobseekers! Remember 'good reason' to sanction someone's money is not defined in benefit legislation and any judgement is totally subjective. There's nothing laid down in law regarding what a good reason is!! They just want people playing their game but it doesn't mean you HAVE TO TAKE A JOB! People who attend JCP are JOBSEEKERS not people who HAVE TO WORK!

So what if someone is expected to travel up to 90 mins to get a job, you're overlooking the fact a person has to pay for it. How can one be expected to get a low paid job and out of their wage pay for travel costs around £20 a day? To me that sounds totally unsuitable especially when there are similar vacancies much closer!!! No employer would ever entertain that application form!! The trouble with people like you is you're unrealistic and you need to be more positive!!

Because you used the word 'work' I assumed you were referring to work interviews. Now I realise you were referring to a Jobseeker signing-on at a Jobcentre Plus office. Glad I worked that one out before you!!! From what I gather that was in approx 2015/6. The man's situation raises lots of questions because after reading the story he didn't need to place himself in a situation where he lived 24 miles from the Jobcentre. He only had to attend the initial meeting in the Jobcentre and was able to sign on at a local library!!!

For example every local authority in the UK must provide services such as indoor markets, libraries and leisure centres as per wishes of the Monarch by virtue of Royal Charters. Same applies to main Government with regard to police force, prisons, military, judiciary and the health system etc. The BBC is a prime example of a national service incorporated as a company by George V in 1927. The Charter lays out how the BBC is to be funded, the management structure etc etc. The NHS is exactly the same. The idea put forward by MP's/Lords to the Monarch and the Monarch agrees. That's how Parliament works. Guess you don't know much about the role of the Royal Family and the reigning Monarch? So it's irrespective how one votes or whether one votes, one will always receive the same services.

  358. In my opinion crude oil is made from dissolving rock layers with chemicals that are pumped down into the rock layers. The products pumped up to the surface are what people call natural gas and crude oil. All the time humans produce natural gas and crude oil, the rock layers deep under the ground are simply vanishing. Saudi Arabia and Russia are two of the world's largest suppliers of oil because hardly nobody lives in the drilling areas where the land could potentially cave in. Sink holes are often associated with fracking which is a very similar process!!! The oil companies only say oil comes from fossils to hide what really happens under the ground!!!

H2SO4 or HCL onto limestone one produces a gas. Shale is no different in my opinion although one gets a different kind of gas that is flammable. Apply acid onto a metal and it produces hydrogen. Boris Johnson and his promise to level up the country is another promise that won't be kept. I really cannot understand why people vote. It seems the electorate doesn't need to vote because the country would be run quite well without them. We always seem to have a Tory Government so let's get rid of voting and just have the Tories in power and Labour in opposition. There are lots of people who put much effort into an office job but they might spend more hours doing the work. When they get home they can say, "I've worked hard today so I'm taking it easy now". 'Working hard', 'hard-working' and 'hard work' are all subjective terms and people shouldn't use them at all. Some people's job's/work doesn't require them to exert much effort, like a parking attendant in a car park. Fire & Rescue workers don't work hard because alot of the time they're just maintaining their apparatus/appliances and keep up to date on training. They have a regular folly out on the river, that's not working hard.

You mentioned something like that people work over and above what they're required to do. People aren't forced to work over and above what's required so they are well entitled to say no. Give people an inch and they'll take a mile. That could be said of employees taking more time off than they should or an employer getting an employer to do more in their job. As for 'hard work', it's 2022 and people don't have to work hard because working hard is bad for people's well being and health.

There is no Head person in the Privy Council who makes the final decision. That decision lies with the Monarch. Privy Council members liaise with the Monarch and advise him on what he SHOULD and SHOULD not do. The final decision lies with Charles who can take advice from anyone he wants to, even Klaus Schwab. Furthermore during a Coronation Oath Charles is the ONLY person to swear that he will govern the people of the UK etc. Rishi Sunak doesn't take that oath!! To the contrary, Charles doesn't swear an oath of allegiance to Rishi and his cabinet or any member of the Privy Council!!! Guess that's why people like the OP thinks the UK has given up on Afghan refugees when in fact there appears to be a safe route available for Afghans. Trouble in this society is that no politician or member of the Home Office will tell the general public what exactly that 'safe' route is. There's so much misinformation surrounding 'asylum' and 'immigration' in the UK it's no wonder the general public make such a fuss about it. But imo, if Britain had not occupied Afghanistan the UK wouldn't be seeing Afghan refugees today. Price of meddling in other country's affairs I'm afraid!!!

  590. Imho crime is greatly reduced because more people are down the Internet and their phones to distract them from committing crime. The precept in my Council Tax for the PCC in Cheshire goes up every year so the Police in my area always receive a payrise so why should the Government give the Police more money? They get enough money from the Council Tax payer!! Look when the Police get called out, there's always 5 or 6 Police Officers turning up as if some of them haven't got anything else better to do and the Police normally deal with drop outs in bus stations and shopping centres - hardly crime. When members of the public carry out a Police audit at a Police Station 5 or 6 officers show up - again got nothing else better to do. A lot of complaints from the public are just that - complaints, not crime yet they're dealt with by the Police because they've got nothing else better to do. For example a complaint could be about a person filming in public and somebody dislikes it so they phone the Police - again hardly a crime!! A lot of crime goes unreported so it's not as if the Police are overwhelmed with work!! People should take a look at what happens at ground level than listen to other people!! It's about time the Police should be involved in educating the public on crime prevention and on the law itself so people know what constitutes a crime. They should also offer a triage when they receive a 999 to determine whether a call is a crime or a complaint so that the Police attend or a CPSO. I liked the story of the armed response unit in Manchester attending a railway station because a member of the public mistook a blind man's stick for a gun!! How stupid are the general public and how stupid are the Police for not asking, "What makes you think the man has a gun sir?"

Bills introduced by the Government have to be agreed by MP's via voting. The Bill is then passed to the Lords for their agreement and finally any Bill to become law has to gain the seal of approval by the Monarch! So let's say the Government want to pass a PR BIll. MP's support the Bill in the HofC and the Lords do too. But the Monarchy rejects the Bill because the Monarch feels it unnecessary as the present system works well and has worked for the past 300yrs or so. What are you going to do then? Protest outside Buckingham Palace? Good luck with that!!

All MP's and Lords swear an oath of allegiance to Charles not to you, me or any other person. The products pumped up to the surface are what people call natural gas and crude oil. All the time humans produce natural gas and crude oil, the rock layers deep under the ground are simply vanishing. Saudi Arabia and Russia are two of the world's largest suppliers of oil because hardly nobody lives in the drilling areas where the land could potentially cave in. Sink holes are often associated with fracking which is a very similar process!!! The oil companies only say oil comes from fossils to hide what really happens under the ground!!!

Joint customs co-operation is completely different to processing asylum applications. Quote - the same "agreement" should be possible for asylum seekers (for the UK) on French territory at Calais. It isn't possible because France wouldn't want rejected asylum seekers left in France only for them to deal with when the UK should be deporting them or returning them. Think about it, if UK asylum applications were processed in France, the French Government would have no control over the British authorities for 'rejecting far too many' asylum applications. Processing asylum applications is far more complicated than you think.

So it stands to reason there are different laws, customs and traditions in place. These even include the system we have in place in the UK regarding the governance of the people. In the UK's House of Commons and voting system we have first past the post. As far as I'm aware in NZ there exist the homogenous people and that's probably why there exist proportional representation. In the UK, the people are firmly under Monarchial rule! The English especially have had a Monarch for well over 1000 yrs, albeit not continuously. It's clear the English just love to be ruled!

Disagree all you like but the facts and proof of royal governance over the british people and the people of the commonwealth stare you right in the face! The PM and some other government ministers are members of the privvy council. These people ADVISE the Monarch on what's best but ultimately the decision on what course to take lies with the MONARCH! Finally the recent NI deal was a great example where imo, the Monarch got involved and used his power to push the deal through. Not one MP voted on the NI deal and yet it has gone through! Going against the NI deal means breaking one's allegiance to the Monarch! Lastly it's HM Government (His or her Majesty's Governent) and the labour party are officially called His Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition. No MP works for you and by voting you're only propping up the system so nothing will change!!

We've always had FPTP because it's easier for the Monarch or anyone else to accept the majority decision. FPTP is embedded into English and British history, culture and traditions which the Crown relies upon for its very existence. Look at the way Labour is reforming the HoL. It's not reform, it's just changing the way the Lords are put in there. And there's people thinking Labour are reforming the Lords, it's a joke because the system isn't for the people!!

Many ailments are avoidable but poor working conditions, lack of proper health education and general ignorance regarding the value of life all help to increase illness, accidents and pressures on the NHS. For example carpet fitters or plumbers who have to get on their knees for long periods of time will end up with knackered knees and so a dependency on the health service. People in these professions should stop at the age of 40. Lots of people with back problems, hip problems etc etc the list goes on and on.

Putin must have good cause to breach those agreements so it is reasonable for people to breach agreements. Countries would not sign agreements if they were that binding. You'll find all agreements have scope for different interpretations and actions. For example, the British want to invoke Art. 16 and pull out of the NIP yet according to the NIP they can only do it with it least affecting the functioning of the protocol. So back to my question, did the US and UK ever find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?
