When an MP wins an election that person has been selected by voters to be employed at the establishment of HM Government/UK Parliament to carry out the business of the Crown! In order for a person to work for HM Government within the House of Commons or House of Lords an MP or Lord MUST by law affirm his or her allegiance to the Crown "Members of both Houses of Parliament are required by law to take an oath of allegiance to the Crown." Nowhere does it state a Lord or MP has any allegiance to the people, their constituents or the voter! I cannot understand why people vote!

  6. Under the 1951 UN Refugee Convention that the UK is a signatory the UK is obliged to accept anyone who presents themselves as an asylum seeker or refugee, irrespective whether Johnson promotes that or not.

  7. The UK cannot ignore its International obligations under the 1951 UN Refugee Convention. Johnson clearly doesn't want to ruffle the populace so him and his cabinet don't mention the words asylum and refugees even though the UK would accept refugees from Ukraine. The UK are under no obligation to advertise they'll accept refugees.
