@01:20 Charles was not ordered not to go to the COP26 meeting. He was only advised that a reigning Monarch should not attend such a low-level meeting - it's something King's and Queen's don't do!! Nobody in the country can order the Monarch to do something. @01:43 The King does make decisions. Charles gave the Windsor Framework its legitimacy. Section 21 Notices are being removed because William wants to reduce levels of homelessness in the UK and pedestrians and cyclists are given more priority under the Highway Code after William's entourage knocked down an elderly woman.

google - kate and william entourage knock down pedestrian an 83yr old woman was hospitalised by a police motorcyclist in K&W's convoy! clearly if sophie has done it too then it's a common occurrence moral of the story - don't cross the road when the royal family are driving on it!! @grahamlees4394

@LordDim1 tks for your interpretation but 1. if somebody advised you to do somethinng does that mean you have to do it? In my view you don't have to do it at all as your only advised. And remember also that the King can ask another member oif the privvy council and get different advice!! 2. Quote - is generally seen as binding where does it state that a king or queen must act upon the advice of the government? I'd love to know what forms the basis of your views!!

Firstly there is no British Constitution. Constitutional principles are not even written down so I don't know what principles you're referring to!! Secondly Vernon only gives his opinion on the process and responsibilities of the Monarch. We all know that a person's opinion is not always in accordance with the real world 👍 All members of the Privy Council have sworn an oath of allegiance to the Monarch and many are indeed Parliamentarians, serving in Parliament!! Your position doesn't stand up to scutiny. For instance Rishi's 'advice' or orders cannot overrule other Privy Council members, even former PM's as they can advise the King to do the complete opposite. There is no Head person in the Privy Council who makes the final decision. That decision lies with the Monarch. Privy Council members liaise with the Monarch and advise him on what he SHOULD and SHOULD not do. The final decision lies with Charles who can take advice from anyone he wants to, even Klaus Schwab. Furthermore during a Coronation Oath Charles is the ONLY person to swear that he will govern the people of the UK etc. Rishi Sunak doesn't take that oath!! To the contrary, Charles doesn't swear an oath of allegiance to Rishi and his cabinet or any member of the Privy Council!!! To think Charles, a King, has to take orders from people of lesser status than him is absolutely absurd!! @LordDim1

Quote - it is advice that the king can take into consideration and judge for himself. Thank you for agreeing with me the Monarch makes decisions based on advice. It's no different to a solicitor acting on behalf of a client. The client makes decisions based on the solicitors advice, it's not the other way round 👍 Quote - purely theoretically he could refuse to follow the ministers’ formal advice, in the same way the king could theoretically at this moment dissolve parliament and order the army to arrest the government and appoint Prince William as the new Prime Minister, There you go, another example where you are agreeing the King has the power to dissolve Parliament. Imo Rishi Sunak is not the King's chief advisor but thanks for your opinion. You've got no proof whatsoever that Rishi Sunak is Charles' Chief Advisor. Imo the Queen didn't get involved much in the running of the country as she let others do the dirty work. Charles on the other hand wants to get involved in the running of the country and make decisions and/or influence aspects of British life and society. That's something your viewpoint doesn't take into account - how much different Monarchs want to involve themselves in the running of the Kingdom and other realms!! I couldn't care who Vernon Bogdanor is - he is/was employed for a specific purpose. As far as I am concerned the majority of the British people are ill-informed about the true governance in the UK and the Monarch and Parliamentarians want it that way simply because any anger and frustration the people might have will be aimed at the Parliamentarians (mainly the commoners!!!) instead of the Monarch. As far as I am concerned blaming the government for the things that go wrong in the country is the wrong thing to do because people should be blaming Charles as he is the only person who governs the people. @LordDim1
