  14. There is democracy in the House of Commons and in Council chambers up and down the country because they all get to vote on matters. To say the Tories and Labour are no longer democratic is absolutely mad!! Oh but you're view isn't surprising because most people in the UK are insane!!

  15.  @philc1773  Democracy doesn't directly involve the people. People only select who to work for HIs Majesty's Government. It's been that way for hundreds of years. Once that person is selected to work for His Majesty's Government s/he swears an oath of allegiance to Charles and not the people. Having the whip removed from Andrew Bridgend does not mean democracy no longer exists because the Tories, Labour, SNP and all the others in Parliament still continue to vote on UK plc business. It's one big club and you and I aren't in it.

The UK Monarch is the only European monarch to swear a coronation oath meaning all other European Monarch's are merely ceremonial. The UK Monarch is the only person who lawfully governs the people via his/her Parliament to which the Monarch is head!

  20. they can't privatise the BBC because the corporation exists by Royal Charter, which means the BBC has to exist and in order for the BBC to sewrve the nation impartially it has to be funded by the public. I can foresee BBC funding will be included within everybody's Council Tax!

  24. I think TV Licence will be added as a precept to Council Tax bills from 2028. At least people on low incomes will get help to pay their TV Licence precept. That'll make Council Tax value for money as people will pay for more services only to benefit from one service and that's having their rubbish collected!

  30.  @davey1602  Even with the transportation costs, the meat from NZ and Aus will be cheaper than the meat produced by UK farmers because farmers in NZ and Aus don't have high overheads as farmers in UK have. There is way more land in Australia to farm cattle!!! Alot of that imported meat will be served in schools, hospitals, prisons and care homes across the UK!! Didn't you watch the australian news team laugh at the UK/Aus trade deal and how the deal favours Aus and not the UK?

Don't you realise you live in a capitalist country where money comes first and people last? If the UK was a socialist country then there would likely be more provision for growing our own food 👍

  36.  @carlgreene538  why do you think your vote can change anything especially given you don't get to vote on the major issues eg whetther you want a Monarch or whether a Council's duty is to provide efficient services that will inevitably reduce Council Tax for the benefit of the Council tax payer. Or what about whether you want the country's wealth to be fairly distributed? or how about this one.........whether the individual is considered equal to the state?? The people only vote on who gets to work in the house of commons but not one vote on anything important.

  38.  @TONE11111  one can only achieve change when most people come together and demand the change. In the UK the people are so fragmented they can never come together!!! For example some people might just want the tories out, whereas others want Reform in on the understanding they can Reform Government, some might want dramatic change at the very heart of Government and get rid of the lot!! Not everyone will vote Reform and some people would still vote Tory and even Labour. Moral of the situation - you can NEVER get what you want in society so complaining is all people can do!!!

Give it a further 30 years and some white people will be really scared because they'll be outnumbered and they've only got themselves to blame for it because had they not been careless with relationships and avoid the horrendous levels of family breakdown witnessed over the past 40 years, the homogenous white population in the UK would be strongly represented! I'm lucky enough to get to see the decline!! 👍👍👍

  46.  @gregparman-sibley6277  The MC was at the time an agreement between the Monarch and his Barons and the document just sets out the relationship between both parties. The people never came into the agreement. So you cannot use the MC to apply to the rights of the people.
