Great video, I like how you debunk Veritasium. Any chance you can prove water is made of hydrogen and oxygen? I've been researching this scientific claim for 5 years now and I still can't find any proof whatsoever that water is indeed made of hydrogen and oxygen!!!

@bryanjackson8917 sure i got that - seems real good but a few problems 1. how do I know the hydrogen used wasn't contaminated with water? I mean one requires water to produce hydrogen and I'm aware water can migrate as a gas during reactions so how do I know the source of hydrogen is free of gaseous water? 2. How can I test all of the hydrogen bonded with the oxygen to form liquid water and the hydrogen wasn't just spent in the reaction meaning any dew formed originated only from the oxygen? 3. You don't mention any need to have a vacuum so there could be some air present in the container and as we both should know air contains water vapor/gas I really think you need to rethink your IDEAS before posting! next contender plz..........

@bryanjackson8917 just in case you didn't understand - igniting hydrogen and oxygen in a sealed container doesn't prove water is made of hydrogen and oxygen. If liquid water is found in the container after the ignition/explosion then the presence of water can be explained in many other ways as mentioned above! My favourite is that water can exist as a gas and is needed to extract hydrogen from materials like metals (eg zinc/acid reaction produces hydrogen). Whenever one produces hydrogen water is used. There's even water in acids! So water in gaseous form migrating along with hydrogen clearly can explain the presence of liquid water forming within the container as the water was introduced along with the hydrogen! Water being H2O is a psuedo-scientific claim because nobody can prove water is made of H2O scientifically! Your method clearly doesn't!

@bryanjackson8917 trust you?? Why do you say that - trust me? Don't you realise people cannot be tusted as they can lie whether knowingly or unknowingly!! How do I know you're not lying? Just because science says so doesn't mean that it's true! Like I asked earlier how can I know water in the form of gas is not within the container even before the ignition/explosion as it was introduced along with the hydrogen? What other test can i carry out that proves any water appearing does actually contain hydrogen and oxygen and not just oxygen? In other words how does carrying out your demo prove water is made of oxygen AND hydrogen? Something tells me you're a bit dim (not your own fault but hey ho!)! If you're having difficulty answering my questions try this easier one In 1800 NIcholson & Carlisle were the first to undertake the electrolysis of water - you know placing platinum electrodes into a sample of water, connecting the wires up to a voltaic pile and they observed bubbles coming from both electrodes. They collected the gases and found them to be oxygen and hydrogen. But my question is, from that observation alone how did they know the water was being split? What tests did they carry out to prove the gases originated from the water and that the gases did not come from the electrodes and/or the electrolyte used eg salt/acid? any ideas?

@bryanjackson8917 I've raised valid concerns with your setup yet you don't want to address them and merely resort to foolishness! But that's just to be expected and reinforces my view that water cannot be scientifically proven to be made of hydrogen and oxygen! Water being H2O is a pseudo-scientific claim! One only has to BELIEVE water is made of those gases and that is all! next contender plz.......

@bryanjackson8917 I think you're filled with rubbish Bryan - I've asked a reasonable question and all you have in response is foolishness to the point you have dissed my query. How fked up is your science that you can't even answer a simple question??
